Coach Cindy Corn (since 1999) has been named NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Region Coach of the Year five times. She played college golf at University of Alabama-Birmingham (1985-88).
Assistant coaches are Craig Zinzilieta, PGA and Mary O'Neal, LPGA.
The Rend Lake Lady Warriors finished fifth at the rain-shortened 2009 NJCAA National Championship led by Amanda Buchanan (76) who finished in a three-way tie for fifth-place. The tournament was postponed due to three days of rain that flooded Daytona Beach. Subsequently, the tournament was moved to Davenport and shortened to one round.
Buchanan was named to the 2009 NJCAA All-American First Team.
The Lady Warriors finished seventh at the 2008 NJCAA National Championship.
Corn received her bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and her master's from Southern Illinois University. |
