Marty Burke was named men's golf coach at Bentley in August 2009 replacing long-time coach Don Moorhead who resigned. Burke previously coached the golf team at MIT (2002-06 and 2007-09). He played both golf and hockey at University of Connecticut where he graduated in 1994 (sociology).
Bentley finished fifth among 12 teams at the fall 2009-10 Northeast 10 Conference Championship at Crumpin Fox Golf Course in Bernardston, Mass. The team's low scorer was Brian Jasset, who tied for sixth (78-76=154).
Bentley placed 10th (out 20 teams) at the fall 2008-09 ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) D-II Championship led by Sean Pettingill and Alex Macielak who tied for 28th out of 100 players.
Bentley won the fall 2006-07 and 2007-08 Northeast-10 titles. |
